Quinn Abbey
2 years, 7 monthsThis Abbey was founded by the Franciscan Order in 1433 at the request of the McNamara family on the ruins of an old Anglo-Norman Castle, in Co.Clare. The last friar died in 1820 aged 80. At one time it was one of the finest Franciscan Abbey's in Ireland.
