Salvation

2 years, 9 months

Every year in January pilgrims from all over India and its adjoining country, Nepal, pour into Kolkata for Ganga Sagar Mela. Come along these pilgrims a few thousand sandhus including the Naga sadhus (naked hermits). This picture was taken in one of the akharas (vamps where the sadhus) check in a few days before they move on to Ganga Sagar held at the confluence on river Ganges and Bay of Bengal.
