Winter marks the butterfly breeding season. This photograph was taken at Tungareshwar wildlife sanctuary. I spotted these Zebra blue butterflies flying while still attached at their abdomen. As they settled down on a rock I captured them mating. Butterflies mate with their abdomen attached to each other while facing away from each other, thus creating a mirror effect.
