McDonald Creek Sunset // Glacier Park

2 years, 11 months

This unique body of standing water is the result of mountain snow and glaciers melting high in Glacier National Park. The spring runoff barrels water through the valley through McDonald Creek into Lake McDonald. I found this beautiful pool while walking along the creek in late spring. I was fascinated by the deep and straight cuts engraved into the shoreline, manifested by years of water, glacier silt and rock birthing rage against the rocky river bed every spring.
