The annual Great Migration at Masai Mara has such a high density of both predators and game that you get to witness incredible animal behaviour. Mara also has some of the largest lions in Africa. We ran into one such giant munching on an early breakfast of a wildebeest that his pride had taken down overnight. Midway through his bone cracking meal he looked straight at me, and I felt an overbearing sense of awe, grandeur and spine tingling fear
