The start of a new life

Back in 2014 I had the great opportunity to testify and shoot the birth of hundreds of baby sea turtles in Fernando de Noronha islands, Brazil, for the local conservation program called Projeto Tamar. They dig out from the nest buried in the sand and drag themselves as fast as they can towards the sea. When they're reaching the water, they stop for a second a take a look around, like memorizing where they are. In 20 years, the remaining ones will come back to spawn in the exactly same beach.
