After a long travel day from Bangkok and several stops along the way, we arrived in Chiang Mai on a late, warm November afternoon. We took a Songtaew (a red pickup taxi) to downtown and visited Wat Chedi Luang just moments before sunset. As the sun sank below the horizon, I was concentrating on photographing a stunning, golden wat near the main entrance when my husband redirected my attention to this captivating temple with a young monk completing his evening chores.
