Amidst a Tidal Wave

This photo was taken in Rome, Italy last year. The seagull is perched on a partially sunken metal boat, while the water surges by. The water looks so unappealing and murky because of how shallow the river is, which runs through the center of Rome. We used this river to tour the city. Following it from the ancient Colosseum all the way to Vatican City. This bird never left it's perched, as we walked past from place to place.
