Lake Vyrnwy

3 years, 12 months

No one who was involved in building this Welsh dam is alive today, yet the people of Liverpool do and will have fresh water for years to come. I can’t think of a more appropriate link to the past, future, and present. This shot is one of my favorites, and it was taken just after a few others I can say the same about. My memory of Lake Vyrnwy will always be special, not because of the photos, but because this place is magical, ancient, beautiful, and sacred.
