4 yearsThis young female Mallard surprised me somewhat as she approached me and took a few pecks at my camera lens! (I was lying prone at the time taking some bird portraits.) Not wanting to deny her some attention, I took a few quick shots before she waddled off looking for some handouts from some other humans.
