The quaint and charming town of Aldeburgh, Suffolk, UK, has been fighting the sea for centuries. The famous Moot Hall (old English word for meeting) built in the middle of town in the 16th. century, is now next to the beach. These boulders and breakwaters at the south end of the beach, are part of the ongoing battle to keep the sea from gaining more territory.
