Death and Life

4 years, 3 months

Beauty is perishable. Yet we can find beauty in things perishing. Where once stood a proud horse are now flowers blooming. This picture was taken in Wagga Wagga, Australia during a very hot summer day and right after a thunderstorm. I had to come really close to the corpse as I chose to use my 10-22 mm lens to capture the blooming flowers next to it. It's not really one of the typical animals with which we connect Australia, but the owner was glad that we finally found her escaped mare.
