The moment when it's gone

The beach at Jökulsárlón has been called one of the 10 most amazing beaches on earth. Glacial ice bergs float out to sea here and the are returned by the tides to rest on the black volcanic sand. This shot was taken about 11 pm. The toys I bring to the beach may have changed over the years ... but I am still just a kid playing with the water
