I saw these uncommon decorations on ceiling of a restaurant in a resort. They gave an unusual look to otherwise a dull ceiling, kept around a central pillar. These fishing traps are hand made from bamboo and commonly used in villages of North Eastern states of India for catching fish in lakes and streams. It is indeed an eye catching decoration made of such simple items.
