Victoria amazonica flower.

4 years, 7 months

Another view of the giant water lily flower, the Victoria amazonica which flowers at night and is therefore rarely seen. The lily plant is so huge, it is not cultivated in private ponds. This was taken at the Singapore Botanical Gardens. Illuminated using a torch as the flower is about 25 meters away in the middle of the pond.
