Life in Pompeii

We all know the story of Pompeii, how Vesuvius erupted and wiped out an entire population in a matter of minutes. Journeying through Pompeii I noticed something in the shambled walls of an old house. I found a small birds nest tucked away between stones, this was ironically symbolic. Birds nest seem uninteresting in everyday life, they make them everywhere, but to find life in a barren place is almost tragically beautiful.
