| Unexpected Discoveries |
Published
During a hike to the Grey Glacier in the Torres del Paine National Park in the Chilean Patagonia, a loud knock came to my attention and to arrive at the source of this noise, I could observe to less than two meters away a Magellanic woodpecker (Campephilus magellanicus), actively looking for its breakfast. As a lover of birds, this was certainly an unexpected discovery.
