Devaprayag

The town of Devprayag, in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state of India. Last year, a devastating flash flood caused by a huge cloudburst, wiped off hundreds of homes from this region. The water level in the visible river, Alakananda, rose till the ground floor of the yellow building within three hours. This year, I could still see the remains of the destruction by the floods, and there was a eeriness in the air, which was chilling on a bright & sunny day.
