Carnival Queen
5 yearsA Carnaval Princess rides on a float that parades down the streets of Las Tablas, Panama. Every year the girls of the town campaign with large beauty queen posters to be voted the Queen - who gets to ride in the coveted float during the five-day festival of Carnavales. The girls pictured here are princesses in waiting - the girls who are not yet old enough to run for queen, but favored to grow into that position.
