Monarch Butterfly

The Monarch butterfly, danaus plexippus, migrates to and from Mexico and the U.S. during spring and fall every year. This one just dropped to the ground and didn't complete the trip.Their larvae feed on the milkweed plant that is no longer plentiful in this area.
