Patterns

5 years, 4 months

It was our last day in Tarangire, and our last drive in the Tanzanian bush for that matter. We were almost back to camp when someone in our group spotted this solitary leopard from well over 100 meters. As we slowly approached it was relaxed and began to move up a branch in profile. I am always looking for repetition in my shots, especially patterns in nature. The dappled foliage and powerful limbs of the acacia paired with the spotted muscular pose of the cat seemed fitting for black and white.
