The Yellow Asian Ladybug

5 years, 7 months

This is the Yellow Asian Ladybug. These are found all over the United States. Lady bugs, also known as Lady Bird beetles, are generally considered a useful insect. Many feed on Aphids or Scale insects, which are harmful to many plants. The Ladybug will lay her eggs directly in the colonies of Aphids. When the eggs hatch the larvae will begin feeding immediately. The larvae are rather vicious when they feed. They remind me of a rabid Pit bull shredding it's prey without mercy.
