The Water Hole

5 years, 8 months

The traditional land owners, Anangu people, respect Kapi Mutitjulu waterhole as the home of Wanampi, an ancestral water snake. They believe that the rainbow Wanampi has the power to control this precious water source. Around Uluru the water is the most precious thing. Many lives depend upon on it for survival, especially wildlife. I returned twice to study the daylight to get the best possible exposure. Standing still, listening to birds, and soaking in the heavenly peace of a natural sanctuary.
