Julia Pfeifer Burns lived here at McWay falls, before the waterfall poured onto the sand. In the '80s there was a huge landslide, causing sand to fill in the cove and create the spectaclar view that is seen just a short walking distance from the road. It never ceases to amaze me what you can find in the world, if you just stop your car, get out for a minute, and take a short hike. This spot is typically shot at sunset, so I like this more uncommon blue hued foggy afternoon scene.
