40 degrees Celsius in the winter. A meeting point of 3 tectonic plates, pulling apart in order to create a new ocean in few million years. Dallol Crater, where a molten magma raises up super heated water -- as a result we have here hydro-thermal vents, geysers and hot springs. Minerals are deposited to create a thin crustal layer rich with colors.
