The Three Gorges Dam flooded the Yangtze River, raising water levels by 300 feet or more. The grass in the foreground used to be the top of a 300+ foot-high peak before the river was flooded. Now it's on the shore of the river, and fishermen walk across it to set up traps to catch fish. While there are still peaks in the background, they were even more impressive before the river was flooded.
