I planted Bearded Iris bulbs last year - given by a friend - they did not bloom then. This was the 1st of a few to bloom. It had started to wilt, so instead of letting it die without purpose, I took it apart to takes pictures of it. The dark purple color Iris is my favorite, reminds me of childhood.
