Relics of the Past ( Brass utensils)

3 months, 1 week

Food is the foundation for wellness in Indian culture.Traditionally food was cooked in earthenware/alloys like brass.Ayurveda, a holistic science of wellness has identified the benefits of cooking in brass.Due to it's no resistance to corrosion it requires regular tinning which is why the society moved to convenient but unhealthy options like aluminium/steel.I borrowed these brass(Pital) utensils from my old neighbours and some of them are a century old eg. strainer on the right.
