The Macaws at the zoo have changed enclosures. Found them settling in to a new, larger area. Of the two Macaws, one in particular was very much awake. The beautiful winter’s sun streamed down through the top of the enclosure. I watched this Macaw for about 40 minutes. It’s colours standing out beautifully with the darkened wall behind. I was after one shot in particular. I waited and waited and then the macaw looked at me and outstretched it’s glorious wings. Just what I was waiting for.
