One Bite

5 months, 3 weeks

Just a single bite of cinnamon toast prepared the way my grandmother used to make instantly carries me back to her home. She always made sure it was ready for me when I woke up. Often, the intoxicating smell was my alarm clock. She lived to 101 years of age and there was no such thing as too much butter or too much sugar. She used to advise me in her Alabama drawl "Don't evah go to the doctah! All they'll do is find somethin' wrong with ya!"
