Chasing Starlight in Southern California

6 months

Located in Southern California, Red Rock Canyon State Park features unique desert cliff, buttes, and weird rock formations. This park is famous for its iconic red rock cliff with vivid colors and its pristine sky at night. It is also one of my favorite places for stargazing because of the darkness, dry climate, and cloudless sky. To get this star trail photo, I’ve traveled to the park multiple times for the best conditions. This image records the movement of the earth in 5 hours.
