Uphill

6 months

During one of the winter migrations following a Mongolian family from their winter to spring camp, we found ourselves walking over hills and mountains and snow-covered terrain. The journey took us 100 miles in 5 days. I love this photo because it catches one of our translators as she is tackling an uphill climb while in the background, amid the white trail left from livestock being herded through the mountains, the herd can be barely seen as a dark line in the distance.
