Gohei Mochi is a delicious snack in Gifu Prefecture. Made from normal white rice, it is pounded into a sticky cake, stuck on a skewer, coated in a sweet sauce and aromatically cooked over a flame. Gohei Mochi Shop are scattered around Sanmachi Suji historic district, where wooden merchants’ houses are lined dating to the Edo Period.
