Iridescent wing

I found this flower in our garden and was mesmerised by its beautiful blue wings. ”Scolia soror is a common insect found in Australia. It may grow to 3 cm long. The wings are a smoky black colour with iridescent blue sheen.The wing veins do not reach the end of the wings, and the antennae are relatively thick.The adults feast on nectar and help pollinate native plants, while the larvae prey on curl grubs which live under the ground and eat the roots of plants.It is a solitary species.” (wiki)
