Boeing C17 Globemaster - Antarctica

1 year

An Australian Air Force Boeing C17 Globe-master awaits the completion of its delivery of cargo to Wilkins Runway in Antarctica before completing it's round trip back to Australia. During the Summer season the C17's serve an important role in ensuring vital logistics supplies are transported to 'Casey Station', via the Antarctic hub. The runway itself is maintained by a skeleton crew throughout the Summer who regular 'groom' the landing strip and clear it of snow buildup.
