During our trip to Iceland this year, my family and I stopped off the main road (Road 1), for a break, only to find a waterfall largely unknown to tourists and hidden from the main road. Urriðafoss is located in Southern Iceland, with beautiful views, and a less beautiful smell from the farm next to it. We were lucky enough to see it right as the sun hit the spray, forming a vibrant rainbow. The added bonus was seeing a man dressed as a Viking running around nearby, waving a sword in the air.
