We were in the middle of an active volcano in Sao Miguel Island, Portugal. In a town called Furnas, the ground is very hot that the locals are able to cook underground. Simply place your pot into the hole and in 4 to 6 hours, your dinner is ready. There is no wood and fire in the hole.
