Waterstrider approaching prey

The Waterstrider is a bug (Hymenoptera) that preys on other insects.It utilises the surface tension of water to run on water after its prey. Occasionally,it will be attracted by a larger distrubance on the water such as this Cleg fly. It will impale it's prey and suck out the body juices. This image
