Elephants use their tusk as a hand. The suck for instance the water through their tusk up, from their the fill in their mouth and swallow. The same goes for the grazing, the grass, leaves or branches are picked by the tusk, transfered to their mouth and consumed. We watched the maimed Elephant, he was able to feed and drink by adjusting to his impairment.
