Yellow Bellied Alligator
1 year, 4 monthsA crocodile of the Alligatoridae and Caiman genus. It is distributed throughout southeastern regions of South America in the basins of the Paraná, Paraguay, Uruguay and San Francisco rivers. They have a lifespan of about 50 years and are known for having the broadest snout of all crocodilians, hence their scientific name latirostris (broad nose).
