marsh wren singing

1 year, 4 months

A rainy, wet morning at a nearby wetland. I decided to work on getting images of a marsh wren down in the cattails. The dense, cluttered habitat made for tricky shooting, but the out of focus vegetation surrounding the subject added a soft, painterly feel to the scenes. This male was particularly active and fearless, often flitting around with 8 feet of me as I stood quietly. I came home soggy, but happy!
