Lost Streams of Kitsilano

1 year, 5 months

Kitsilano is a very popular neighbourhood on Vancouver's west side. It has been, over time, filled with workers' rooming houses in the '30s, hippies and a vibrant counterculture in the '60s, and in recent decades, an expensive home for aging boomers and young professionals. This plaque in Volunteer Park reminds me of the older features of the neighbourhood - the ancient terrain, and the First Nations who inhabited it. When I lay the icicle down, it lit up like a candle in remembrance.
