Sous les jupes des filles

11 months, 3 weeks

This image is part of the series “Primary colors”, I had this idea when the fields of Switzerland became covered with canola. I wanted to try and create a balance of colors by using the primary trio – yellow, red and blue. I also wanted to push it from pastoral to arty and abstract. I was trying to get the color shades that are simultaneously natural and surreal, the shapes to seem perfect but unrecognisable. What do yo see - a flower, a butterfly or tights under a skirt? (model Lina Berzhaner)

The movement from fabric and primary colors are stunning in this frame. The stillness of the red legs is poignant against the blues and yellows surrounding. I love how bold the colors are all around!
