| While on a Walk... |
Published
During a visit to Real del Monte, a small miner town, I noticed that celebrations for "El Señor de Zelontla", the miners saint, were held. I took a walk around and watched a crowd of people gathered to encourage a group of people to participate in a traditional game called "Barril Encebado" (waxed barrel). The main purpose of the game is to reach out the prize, which is on the other side, while riding a barrel on a metal pole covered in wax. The prize was a bottle of wine and cash money.
