This was inspired by the idea that the mirror always lies. The image reflection is a cold, unfeeling representation of the actual person. It also focuses on the importance of knowing the person beyond his or her appearance. Identity is far more than face value...yet we often spend a great deal of time making sure we look good. The true identity of a person can never fully be expressed by a mirror.
