The Pinewood Derby

2/10/18 Woodstock, CT The day they were all waiting for, the Cub Scout's Pinewood Derby. Anticipation was in the air. The boys proudly showed each other their cars. The track was ready and the cars weighed and inspected. The event was underway. The race was run in heats with five cars racing at a time. The excitement soon gave way to despair as the boy's cars were disqualified."That was a nice old fashioned piece of Americana" said one spectator while leaving after the final two cars raced.
