Frenzy

This is a shot of a male squid just grabbing onto a female during an intense mating aggregation. Once the 'action' begins, his tentacles will turn bright red to warn other male squid to stay away. The third squid just below, is another female in the process of releasing a tube of eggs, which she'll attach to the ground along with tens of thousands of other egg tubes.
