MORNING CATCH

2 years, 2 months

Here is the story of two flies one kill (Fleshfly) and another killer (Robber fly- Asilidae). I’d always wondered about the origin of the Robber fly’s name. It was only when I saw these insects doing what they do best, that I started to appreciate its appropriate- ness. They’re notoriously aggressive and surprisingly agile. It lives up to its name by ambushing, and catching, an unsuspecting flying insect, demonstrating speed and skill in a short but horrifyingly precise aerial attack.
