Keeping an Eye

2 years, 3 months

10 months old, this male leopard cub (known as Thamba) kept an eye on a 16-month old female leopard cub who watched him from the ground below. The young female (interestingly, his aunt) lost her mother a few months earlier and seemed hopeful for compaionship. Thamba was more interested in sleeping. Meanwhile, his mother was perched in a different tree about 500 feet away watching both of them. Eventually, the little female left the area and in this shot, Thamba sleepily watches her walk away.
