Great childhood memories & a great tradition - State Fairs. Across the US, fairs began as a way to educate the community about agriculture by showcasing various animals & enjoying food from local farms. Fairs expanded to also include entertainment, and evolved into what they are today: a hallmark of the end of summer, the beginning of fall & harvest, and, let's face it, a great place to people watch. Here my kids enjoy the classic "spinning teacups" ride. Taken at the Maryland State Fair.
